DANIEL ARELLANO TESTIMONY

Prison ministry is not what I chose, it chose me. I have traveled the country extensively for Ministry and have had the opportunity to represent Hispanic Christian Leaders in our Nation’s Capital. In 2003, I was recognized as one of the top ten organizational and urban ministry leaders in New Mexico and awarded a scholarship to study with the Devos Urban Leadership Institute. In 2020, during a global pandemic when prisons and jails shut down, the Lord miraculously provided a Television Ministry Program (Second Man) that is reaching all twelve prisons, providing inspirational resources and tools to disciple the next wave of leaders. There is a way out of fear, violence, and hopelessness, and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ loves you and the same Christ that said to the thief on the side of Him on Golgatha, “Today you will be with me in paradise,” offers you the same eternal life. Paul said, “I thank Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do His work. He considered me faithful and put me into the ministry, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted His people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was!” (1 Timothy 1:12-14) Paul determined to finish His race with joy, even if it meant from prison in Rome. While in prison Paul realized he was chained for the hope of Israel and that the Word of God is not chained. (Acts 20:22-25; 28:17-20; 2 Timothy 2:9) You are never too far out of reach for Him to touch you, change you and use for His Kingdom.  I have been where you are, you don’t have to stay there. Jesus Christ has been hope and answer to my life. Judas walked and talked with Jesus and it didn’t transform him. Jesus knowing Judas would betray Him loved Judah just as much as all the other Apostles. Given the same opportunity, Judas refused to change. Peter denied Jesus three times, remembered redemption from the cross, ran to the Tomb and then to receive power in the upper-room. Jesus can change, reach out to Him from where you are. The stone that was rolled away of Jesus’ tomb was moved by the same hands who has opened the doors for you to receive this message into your hands. He has visited you where you are! Thirty years ago, if you would have told me I would be doing what I am doing and preaching the Gospel, no one would have believed it. The same redemption that I and many others that I have received is available to you today.  It doesn’t matter how steeped in sin you might be, give Him whatever is left of you, even if seems like it might not be much.  It may be just broken pieces of what is left of you, He will make a masterpiece of your life. He still transforms worms into butterflies. God knows who you are, what you have done and nonetheless, He loves you, and wants you to know and love Him. Today, if you’re down because of sin, I say, get up because of grace. There is no place at the bottom for the child of Christ. You are positioned to sit and reign with Jesus Christ. Today you can have a new beginning, today is the day of your salvation! He knows no other way of salvation than through the name of the Son He loves and sent to die for you. If you have heard the voice of the Lord through our testimony, I invite you to confess Christ as Lord and your Savior, simply pray, “Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I am a sinner, forgive me for the sins that I have committed and for the people that I have wronged. I believe that you died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Come into my life and fill me with the Power and Person of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.”  If you prayed this prayer and have a hunger to grow in relationship with Jesus, please write to us and we will enroll you in our “Second Man” school of the Bible. Upon completion you will receive a certificate of completion. We encourage you to study in a small group in your dorms or pods. To schedule Pastor Daniel to speak at your prison chapel service, or prison outreach event please send us a letter or call us, and we will get in touch with your Chaplain.  “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but ALL to come to repentance.” (1 Peter 3:9) We are praying for you! “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you His peace.”
